Zouk is full of horny guys....
some guy got fresh with fiona on her birthday bash...discounting the fact that she was with a group of very pretty and slim beauties. envious...but it's ok, fiona's pretty.
today was a travelling day, morning went to nus to return wireless card, met people who asked me why i'm in school, met people online while i was in the usp comp lab too...and many more people asked why i was in sch. then brought my sister to the very nice nus co-op, my favourite place for tidbits and chocolates... and cherie's favourite for green tea tidbits. we bought melty kisses, green tea flavour. very sweet...too sweet, but cherie will like it. =)
then went to macdonalds to eat brunch... wah lau, after that gave me serious diarrhoea, had to detour into ite to find toilet....and gosh, ITE is so beautiful, the hand wash taps are automatic.
went to Chinatown after that... bougt moe crystals, make more jewellery, ate mango sago from the desert shop, then went to bishan language centre to register my sister, met my malay teacher... talked.. she remembers me!! then buy textbook for her... so interesting, i want to study malay again.
after that, brought my sister to tour junction 8, then go lot 1, read stuff in the library, then went to pizza hut eat lasagna... haha, we eating the whole day. then come home... so fun...me and my sister. =)

sister eating the blueberry muffin which i baked now, intending to sell it at the bazaar.... i think will sell....it tastes nice... looks nice... price also nice.... then got my very own pandan coconut cake...and chocolate cornflakes and jewellery....hope can cover our costs.... which runs to $200 now.
we sold our first 2 pairs of earring today, at the IRC meeting... the year 1s were so enchanted by the earrings we designed and made, they bought it on the spot. KEWL!
went to chinatown to replenish out stock of crystals today, then went to simlim square to get my digital camera, took 166, i tot it will reach the doorstep of sim lim, in the end got off on the wrong stop, have to walk back, then almost got wing yee knocked down by a bus, coz we tried to cross the road while the green man is flashing, we did that a few times today, but not on such a busy road lah.... usually we always made it in time. then we crossed the road, walked... then realised the building was on the other side of the road, we going to sim lim square not sim lim tower. so, eng liao....but nobody knows.... nobody is supposed to bring this up okay!
anyway, i intended to go to 3 shops to ask for the prices, we went to the first shop, the shop assistant super persistant, sounded very pathetic, like he had to sell something that day otherwise, his boss not happy... and i tot... ok lah... he seemed to be giving me lots of discounts etc... girls are very gullible, so, i bought a 4 mega pix digicam for $380 loh, including batteries and charger and 256mb memory card. not sure if it's ex or what lah... but currently still very happy with it. so... okay loh....
then went to swensens to snack/eat dinner. not hungry... girls mah... cannot force ourselves to eat when we not hungry rite....so we sit there and discuss who makes the rest of the necklaces etc... then seperate crystals, etc..... very tideous, eating and doing work at the same time... coz the staff keep walking by us.... in the end, caught in a traffic jam coming back to malaysia again.... i think all my red blood cells are contaminated with carbon monoxide by now.... i cannot exercise....cannot breathe......

pharmacy camp was the single most exciting thing that happened to me this week. have been feeling down the whole week coz somebody suddenly pulled out of our joint venture, affecting the mere realisation of it. and it's something i wanted to do so much. things took a turn for the better when i actually got down to emailing my other partner to persuade her to continue.
lots of laughter from the night games of pharmacy camp, year one juniors were very funny... there was this girl who screams at almost anything. we played double wacko, then her name always kenna, then her partner always cannot react fast enough, end up she always kenna hit, so what can she do but scream. then when she demo how to play curtain drop... .hahah, the curtain dropped, and gues what, she screamed at the other person, and the person screamed back... not because they don't know each others' names, it's because they know each other too well. hahaha...so much for demo sia....then played candle fight. after i burnt down the rope from the opponents, all of they looked out for me, so the moment i close in on their second rope, 4 people will come after me.... so of course i never got to the second one.
after that played captain's ball, fun lah... cause every group so small, seniors joined in to help. played for every group.... had lots of fun. i even had the chance to go to the gym before dinner as there was a half an hour break. then next day even better, when the campers got to prepare their item, i got half an hour's of sleep. then we played bridge, dai di, heart attack etc until 5 am. very fun....i got to show off as a good bridge player, couldn't have done it if colin chan was around. there were many beginner players too, all taught by me.
the most interesting thing is that my og only has girls and most of them are from ac... we got along very well, they told me that one of the jc guys from another group has a crush on me, which explains why he wants to take a photo with me, then get my email and hp no so that he can get my jc bio notes. hmmm.....then again we're thinking too much....but it's fun enough. i miss the bunch of them.....

well, i guess this is the end, of what i can label as the most happening week of my semester.
Mon: stats exam, mug for LSM paper
Tuesday: LSM paper, went to bedok to collect my jeans voucher, shopped at tampines mall, bought a book on how to make teddy bears, ate a wonderful dish of ee mian with very nicely seasoned pork and tender fish slices, did pedicure (purple), bought presents for both my mom and jeremy's family, first 2 encounters with the lava lamp sellers, bought new hair clips. 10 pm wait for wanling to pick me up, went to mustafa to shop for the first time... actually it's wanling shopping. then went to adam road hawker centre... also my first time there...ate mutton soup, roti john, cheng ting, ice kacang, ikan bakar. then went to a bakery in balestier to eat curry buns at 2am in the morning, then went to jing ming's house to eat the buns...was crammed in wanling's car, together with 6 other people, had alvin's hairy leg on my arm, and tortured qiuling's legs...interesting though... leoel and co always full of crap, so much that it's funny...got back at 4am....
Wed: what did i do....think....oh, i woke up late... like 3 pm.. then ate a meal... don't know what to call it... it's not lunch or breakfast or brunch nor tea. then slowly nua and msn until 7pm, left for orchard to pluck my eyebrows, shopped for 1 hour, bought a nice lacy white spag top with a slit at the midrift, ate then went to tiong bahru to meet sylvia and chuliet, we bought a bottle of vodka each, to get a bit high first. realised that none of us know how to go to zouk from tiong. then we took bus and walked... then somehow reached there without much problem, long queue at Zouk...met marc and went in together, saw lots of young teenagers, all wearing make-up... guess i was like that before? wasn't it just one year ago? drank a whole jug, coz marc bought it one for one...was watching a plump guy standing on the platform alone, dancing to mambo...entertainment, after a while, got high, first sighting of male attention (he turned around, instead of facing the dance floor) to dance facing chu and me. later, got lionel to join us. lots of things happened, then wanling arrived. with jojo, wanjing and KC. moved to the dance floor with a drunk wanling, knocking into everybody...at about 2am, we moved to phuture... regretted moving so late... phuture was better, wanling preferred mambo...meet sirius juniors there, apparently, many other people were there too, like edmund, cherie, jasmine, gary, pak loon, terry foo, pageant boy weijie...after mambo, went for bak kut teh, was very good... maybe cuz lots of pepper... i had already sung/shouted my voice hoarse.... and still haven't gotten out of the influence of alcohol. until 6am, head was still throbbing. came back to pgp, chuliet sleep in my room, talked to jeremy online till 6am.
thurs: meet joy at 10am at macs... she forgot... pushed back to 11am, meeting and discussion about bazaar till 1pm then she went for hair cut, highlighting and perming... m=now she looks really nice. met her again at 7 pm, was to watch school for seduction, but she didnt want to, so shopped again... bought 2 more tops then found the lava lamp stall again... the vendors had moved from tampines to orchard... this time cannot resist already... had to buy it. so here now, i have an orange lava lamp, to accompany me for the last 3 days of sem 1.
fri: supposed to go for carolling prac, but woke up at 1pm, got ready to go ktv with SParta, everybody smsed me to say they were going to be late... so i took my time. had a good time at ktv, my singing is atrocious. colin and leoel were entertainment.

Only when my blinds are down do i know that wind blows through my room....
it's just like exams...it's just like anything....
it's just like, having training all season for that 100m sprint...and yet... you sprained your ankle somewhere in the middle, just when you tot victory was yours, just when you tot all your training has not been in vain, just when...
just when you're so high above the rest... and you fall to the ground... and you have to climb all over again... nobody will send a lift down for you... you have to climb... step by step all over again... knowing, fearing and understanding fully that you'll fall this far again... or fall even harder....
i can imagine... running for that 100m sprint, and not being able to complete it...you want to, but you can't... there's nobody at the end... awaiting you... just helplessness to greet you...
it's so helpless, waiting for my results/cap score to come out, knowing it's going to fall below expectation, and you still cherish that hope that... maybe.. maybe.. it might not be all that bad... only to be crushed again when the results come out, but you can't live in ignorance, you can't not look at the score, you can't not know how you did, because you've got to climb that ladder again...
i fell so hard...i feel like pounding the red synthetic material on the track... crying for my helplessness

tired tired.... today was my econs paper...it's quite bad... coz i want to show that i can do well in it, although i have no econs background at all. but i guess... it really takes practice. i chose the wrong questions to do... when i wanted to change... it was all too late. plus... i answered the questions wrongly... sigh. but all was not too bad. our term paper got an A... thanks to all the guys who did the work in my group... and my second response paper got B+/A-... plus a comment: good attempt!... yah.... well, then it rained... but it didn't prevent me from getting myself my share of fruits from arts canteen.... PGP has no fruits... and those at the air con canteen is bloody expensive, but it has quality too.
oh well, so i cut my finger while closing the umbrella... just when i tot i was in for a bad bad day... some contest which i randomly entered, replied and told me i won the $100 jeans voucher... yay... now i have more things to look forward to after exams.
after exams, i want to buy a digital camera... my family still doesn't own one... and then i must eat less... so that i can get a nice almost flat tummy to buy the jeans...
i decided after the test... that i must be more tidy... mentally as well. so when i got back to my room i decided to start cleaning up my shelf...(shift all the modules which i've finished over to the far end) and tear out the pages in my notebook pertaining to those modules.... punched holes in all of them... and ringed them.. and classified them...then cleaned my room, did laundry, then clean my computer of junk... make space for next semester's junk and notes. yup... now i have 1.64GB of free space for more videos, music and notes...reckon i will need more space after getting the camera coz i'll just shoot everything i find which is vaguely amusing... not only me... my whole family have to share too... then my sisters love to snap everything which THEY find amusing...so...need more space... need another? DVD-RW.
then stef, my clustermate shared her ROTIBOY with me... it's this pancake like bread, with sweet crispy crust... and the inside is buttered.... yummy! and i bought the kopitiam bread... to make more delicious kaya toasts =)...did i say i was going to lose weight?

Amidst all the exam preparation, and study schedules which i always overshoot, i actually went to watch Mamma Mia! the musical.... oh, it was great... the musical, lamely funny, but very enjoyable, i lament that i cannot be one of those very talented performers on stage...they were thoroughly enjoying themselves, and i'm paying to watch their enjoyment! but i love the musical, it can join the league of classics along with sound of music and my fair lady.
went to download the soundtrack for fun, and realised that the voices of the london cast is so much better, although the australian cast is quite good too...and i can just relive the whole musical from the soundtrack. and here i tot i didn't have to get the musical soundtrack because my mom has "the best of ABBA" cd. i'm so totally wrong, there's a big market for the soundtrack too.

Anne Rice is a MEAN writer. she tortured her readers when they cease to read her books. and tortures them further with skillfully persuasion to accept cruelty and death as right.
Maybe we should just fail our tests and end up dead. that way there'll be no fear of failing, no fear of being jobless, no fear for being penniless as there is no need for it.

Thursday, October 07, 2004
leoel recommended this love test which is quite accurate....
my results:
1. You are attracted to those who are warm and obedience.
2. In the process of courtship, the approach that would make you feel irresistable is moods-swing, blow hot and cold in love, vacillate.
3. The impression you would like to give to your lover is stylish.
4. You don't like it when your partner is insecure.
5. The kind of relationship you would like to build with your partner is one that you care not only about the present but also the future with your partner, a long-lasting relationship that you can grow with.
6. You care about the society and morality, you won't do anything wrong after marriage.
7. You think of marriage as a precious thing. Once you get married, you'll treasure it and your partner very much.
8. At this moment, you don't want to be tied down by a steady relationship, you just want to flirt around.

MY Birthday! (on monday)
am very happy, although there were no big parties nor numerous presents. i was very happy to see so many people gather at chatterbox on monday evening to wish me happy birthday. Ling organised everything and got me a delicious chocolate blueberry cake. Dajie and BK are the unexpected people who stayed... next would be alvin, waikit and jielin. Utterly comforted was i, when faith, rena, simin were there too, it showed that i still had them as my friends... i hope i always will.
we went to macs to have dinner after that... enjoyed ourselves...we talked about lots of things...wrong things....disgusting things... but it made as roll around in laughter. (of course we didn't literally roll away at Macs) Felt touched when Cherie got me what she thought was a cheese cake from spinelli.... it was a wonderful finishing touch for an 8 hr lecture day. today she came up with more gifts... a large soup bowl and plate.... perfect for me to whip up meals at the pgp kitchen.... Thanks girl..

Went shopping today.
we bought lots of things. Note: Sim Lim is a very sinful palce to shop at... you spend lots and lots of money there. I bought a new, good, nice black bag and a purple knee-length skirt from Bugis village. and the bag is my christmas present.....bought a massager and CDRs from Sim Lim. CDRs for my sister to rip all the music she wants from her classmates. bought a pair of blue contact lenses.. for fun... have been wanting to get them for more than a year...
went to queensway too, bought another pair of FBT shorts for myself and jeremy's birthday present: a sweater, just so he can wear it on Campus at Munich, though it'll probably be useless at those temperatures. He didn't want me to learn knitting or pick up knitting again or knit anything for him...what to do...
Dun think for a moment that i was the one buying everything. jeremy bought alot more things. he bought an ultra cool and nice sporty backpack for his laptop, the bag has very very good padding. bought earphones, 40GB hard disk and hard disk drive, microphone for his parents to audio conference with him, running shoes, jeans, luggage strap yada yada...that's the best reason why he enjoyed today's shopping.
was clearing my table and i fell upon this note i wrote, from the USP academic symposium which i only attended after Dr Vivian Balakrishnan arrived:
Today attended Academic symposium and found myself totally brainwashed by Vivian. the way he spoke was so smooth, ideas flowed from one to another seamlessly, leading his audience slowly yet steadily to the opinions and points which he wants to convey. i found it hard to concurr any independent thought of my own. I've gained a deeper understanding to the word equality. having a concept of "ah Lian" or "ah Beng" is as good as being prejudiced against coloured people.... against races, against people who subscribe to a religion different as your own. It's worse than discrimination against the poor.
I also didn't know that there's a deeper reason to why Singapore's excessive support for charities etc. not only does it ensure a sense of security among the people, if they become disabled one day, they can count on being taken care of, it also makes a statement to the world, that Singapore does not ill-treat the disabled/handicapped but treat them with respect and kindness. that, all the countries out there in the world should also take a leaf out of Singapore and treat Singapore (a handicapped nation) with respect and kindness. and i didn't think about it this way until Dr Vivian pointed it out.

i find myself in a crisis. Jeremy is leaving in 7 days, i have tests and deadlines to meet, my dance lessons are ending...seems that all my pleasures are going to be taken away from me in a matter of days.
is it a coincidence that my birthday is just around the corner, signalling to me that i have to mature whether i like it or not. and every year when i mature, i would have to meet my ex, my first love actually. it's not really torture but something close. have i mentioned that i still can't help feeling jealous about jx and him. but still, every year, i bring myself to meet him, to check if he's still living, to see whether i can get over him, and shamelessly hoping to hear news of his breakup. nonetheless, we never touch on these issues when we meet, only small talk about books and maybe music. that's all. how sad.

Have been wanting to blog for the whole week.... just take i've either been going out or "studying" in my room that i haven't had the real time to sit down and blog. and Stats prac lessson is the best time... esp when your lecturer wepeats himself all the time.
Went to orchard on sunday night. i'm a naughty girl, i told my mum i'm coming back to school for term break to study. but nevertheless, i "benefitted" quite a bit from the outing. i wore the usp camp t shirt out.... and jeremy couldn't stand it. and this is coming from an engin guy who dresses shabbily all the time. he justifies himself saying that although he dresses shabbily, he never wears something so ugly....(no offence to the designer of the camp t-shirt). we hunted up and down far east plaza to get me a suitable set of top and skirt so that i don't have to be such an eye sore. so yay, for once the guy willingly shops with you... hahaha. at the end of the day, managed to buy this asymmetric leaf skirt and my adnce latino skirt, and a rose black top.... then we went to kino to buy books. bought $110 worth of books so i got him the kino membership card so that he saves about $10....
(alright, lecturer is chasing us out because he wants to end early... shall continue...)
[continue...]
so... that's in part, my present to jeremy for his birthday... but really, i never know what to get him. he takes care of all his needs, he needs it he buys... maybe not all, he tries to make me pay for his newly acquired books... but it's so pointless contributing to his 100 plus books.
maybe it's my laziness, but i think it doesn't take a special occasion to buy him stuff, i agree that it's very nice and sweet to buy him treats and presents for a good reason. and come to think of it... i don't shower him gifts.. so i guess i do have to put in effort to do something for him especially when he's leaving next week... so soon.... 8 more days only. the reality and totality of it still hasn't sunk in.
many other things happened along the week... but all seems to trivial to be remembered or brought up. Not when i've just completed reading Blood canticle by Anne Rice...if i'm not wrong, her latest vampire chronicles book. (poor thing, her husband is dead and yet she's so capable of love, especially the kind which i crave, the kind which she elucidates in her books... that's why i'm hooked. then why aren't i hooked by all those romance novels out there... i guess Anne rice writes of something more carnal....and yet without all the carnal action. writes of love... love of beautiful people, love of intelligent people, the way she expresses her characters, makes me deeply in love with them, the way they should be. the use of opposites: having a self proclaimed selfish fiend deny selfish possession of the lover he loved too much.
then there's the prefect husband, probably the representative of anne rice's own husband...but yet fails terribly at his role...having an affair, not being able to console her when she's terribly distraught..and not being able to sire an children in his wife. so helpless....so pitiful.
i find that Anne rice's ideology about beautiful people has affected me a lot... so much so that it's one of the traits which i look for in my partners/lovers/boyfriends/crushes. and that of vanity (thinks about the coincidental theme of my big success video art, which is also vanity)...doing things for the sake of vanity, not only for looks, but of what people perceive of you. you do good to glorify yourself for others to see.
i guess it's clear rite now that i want the passionate lover... the passionate Blood Child, the brat prince Lestat. but try as i might, i cannot be the kind of target of such affection. i have nothing in my character nor ability that warrants such rupturous love.

Thursday: Suddenly feel like celebrating my approximately one-year relationship with jeremy. We totally forgot to take note of dates etc. i'm not the kind who remembers dates, i remember events. something between the Welfare com bash (11/9) last year and the bizcom bash/my birthday (27/9), we got together.... so...thursday being my free day, i decided to treat him to fusion, nice food and ambience, but cannot go out of school, he has lessons later. and it so happened that it was raining... in a way good, coz i brought an umbrella and i have "good" reasons to hold on to him while walking to fusion, in the rain.
Friday: went out to watch DODGEBALL after 8 hours of lecture. very lame and stupid show... especially the "bai hao ren"....but it was a good luagh... worth the money, you all should go watch it and de-stress.

Today is a happy day
i changed my laptop cursor to an angel and the waiting cursor to a peeling banana....ahahhaha...
and i bumped into this guy i got to know from dance class right after my practical and we went to the central library to study together. then i met weijie, who's the super busy man 3 times in a row... not pre mediated. first time i saw him at the sci bus stop then after that at the arts canteen and after that at the central library. although for the first 2 times i failed to call out to him and get his attention. nonetheless, he promised me a lunch date tomorrow. then some time in between my studying at central library, Colin called to say they are celebrating Emily's birthday at Macs... so i went over to be treated with chocolate fudge sundae.
later, still charged on my present happiness, i'll be playing badminton with peixin and jeremy and after that go for dance class.... hope everything goes well for today and continues to go well tmr....
