Me and wing yee at our pharmacy bazaar stall
Le Rendevous

3rd bazaar for me, 2nd night watch duty. night was gossip, and fun. too bad i forgot to bring cards... had music from my laptop... supposed to plug to the speakers... but, too lazy (jeremy shut up) and expensive equipment, should not be touched by amateurs.

1st day of bazaar, wing yee and me both think we won't earn that much... as the christmas bazaar, but somehow we ended up having less jewellery than we have left after the christmas bazaar, end up having lots of orders and have to replenish. plus, now we are full-time students and part-time stall owner. so.... cannot help it, cannot make a many designs and colours as we would want.

did a very bad thing, skipped pharm prac lect, the only module in pharm which takes into account attendance and participation. but my stall needed me. nothing was settled yet...

now night watch, proceeded to finish all 11 orders which were placed during the day. then we embarked on the biggest projecto f the night, creation of PPT "how to do a group project". we took pics... i'll upload...and did a small slideshow cum joke for our class.

at first we wanted to upload to yahoo groups then, we had to plan how to get people to look at the ppt, we decided to say, it was the newest version of tmr's pharm prac lect notes (which is known to be very dynamic) then add, for those who could not access ivle.... as we all know yesterday there was a short time when ivle was down. yup, perfect plan right?

guess what, the yahoo groups didn't have enough space for our 2 mb gig, it only have 1 mb. =S.

so we wrote to another lect who loved to add jokes before her lect starts, to interest the class. so we seeked her cooperation, etc.... her lect is today. hope she would want to collabrate... and the class will have a rolling good time.

my day has started, i haven't slept. last i slept was 5 hours, and next lect starts in 1.5 hours. good luck to me, as jeremy puts it.

Laughter's the best medicine. Shall recommend it to all my patients in future. started the day feeling very sick, cold and thus, lethargic.

BUT, it was an exciting day, i think. today i pulled myself up from a one hour nap, to go for DG, today's DG was a bit of mass E, gave out booklets on where is God in the time of the tsunami and what we can do. but misch read the booklet, she says some of the answers are just beating around the bush... sigh.... didn't know what to say, i was so excited that the staff came out with the booklet, i guess they were too occupied answering the other questions in the booklet?

i've made my new year's resolution, i'm going to make crusade my main CCA, that means i must make it for LM, which is on thurs, and the moment i returned to my room , i decided that i'll take on pris's challenge to me of being a GIG leader... GIG is group investigating God, leaders will receive training and then proceed to share the bible with christians or pre-believers, for 6 1-hour slots.... sounds simple and yet challenging at the same time, as of now, i'm still very unsure of whether i am spiritually mature enough to do this... but i'll nvr know until i've tried, besides, it's not the task which is the challenge, it's answering God's call, obedience (according to Pris). so, i'll take it.

later on, went for Simin's PD treaT, was, not good, not bad... munchie monkey food deteriorated... tot it was better, and the brownie isn't as nice, maybe it's because i'm so full i cannot fully appreciate...maybe it's the company too? the last time i went there was with cherie and aiwen... girls giggling, sitting on the sofa...

after that, had a more enjoyable time chitchating.... and then ben, jet, tutty and yuchen came.... that was when the fun started, when rena got reminded of her handbreak joke... hahaha, and all the tickle-sensitive people got attacked at their weakness...

then got to catch DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. well, wasn't very satisfied about the show, but it's a start.... better than no show. one needs to watch TV once in a while to keep in contact with all the advertisements and jokes....

have finally found time to upload at least one picture of everything we and wingyee made, for bazaar (Arts Forum, 26th-28th jan). the link is here.

yah, promote to your friends... hmmm, i'm slightly afraid that all these designs will be stolen.... but, whatever, if i sell them, they will also be copied... not saying that they are entirely original.... one book i found said that there is no such thing as and original jewellery design, coz all designs are taken from nature.

went for tiger cup finals! everybody wearing red, singing the national anthem loudly and proudly, the Lions t-shirt is quite nice too. and meet lots of people there too, most unexpected was jh. then always at these events, there are girls who dress up for the attention, the girl in the middle of the photo is a very mild case... nice butt though. people agreed with me.

Snoopy night light is a christmas present from my cousin. Snoopy lights my crystal ball and swan palace! =)

one happy sister, is a nice sister.....

over the hols, i spotted this large snoopy soft toy for $12 at watsons..... had to buy it. bought one for jeremy, one for my sis. =) although her birthday is after my exams...which is a long way later

went salsa yesterday, i guess i enjoyed myself. i stayed till 9.30, when the lesson ended at 8... and reached hostel very early.... yup.

liked the dim light of the bar... but could do with better air conditioning.... now i understand what simin meant when she said, just keep the basic steps in your mind all the time.... it's hard... need more practice.....
yanqing was so graceful... maybe it's because my name is grace, i totally admire people who possess immense grace....*awwww!*

we tried basic... then when it was intermediate class, the more pro guys just continued teaching us how to do intermediate.... i was like... oh no... you really can't be serious right.... i just picked up the basics, and i'm not good at it....this is one of the major differences which i welcomed at Xenbar. unlikr allan's studio. guess i'm staying for salsa... paid anyway. and i have no money for textbooks now. sigh... have to pull out the money i earned from jewellery sales to cover my expenditure.

let me see, we did a cross body leap, a full turn... a titanic..., can't remember what the other steps are called... but i have to work on the cross body leap... do wonderful turns....and ooze grace =). yah, no ballet background for me... but i love dance....

i'm homesick....so much so, i'm thinking that my mom loves me a lot, and she showed it by buying the meat floss egg roll for me, to bring to hostel. i wish my stomach and mouth will stop making my hands reach into the box, slowly depleting my ration of family warmth. everything i pop one into my mouth... i feel so lucky, my mom loves me... and i have just enough money in my pockets because she gives me pocket money...and she bought peanut cake too....just that i have to remember to kop them from home...*basks in mother's love*

finally feeling the excitement of going back to school, however dampened by somebody's need to study...

today, i woke up before 1pm, very good, didn't drag till 2 pm. woke up and did laundry before i left for my dose of good wanton mee. coz when sch starts, no more such nice food for me. then i went to buy toiletries in preparation to move into hostel. then came back, decided to do a good deed, mom has been too busy to make jelly, so i made 2 diff kinds of jelly all in one day, one orange jelly, the other peach agar agar...with canned peaches, so soft, was so afraid i'll smash them just by holding them.

then i took the dried clothes in, hung the newly done ones... and even contemplated doing ironing...but my hands were so dry already, (that's coz i wash my hands excessively, but i can't help it, i like to have clean hands) so i decided to take a break, watch a movie...then after that, drove down to fetch my sister from the custom, driving down to the custom is hazardous, the roads are full of portholes, have to hold the steering wheel tight otherwise, bye bye! and the new malaysian custom building is so troublesome, we have to drive pass it and the road is so winding, my heart was in my throat...even at 50 km/h. and lots of stupid people hogging the road, and non-signallers....tsk tsk, i faithfully turn on the signal light everytime!

i'm so proud of myself, i'm a good daughter... bet my mom'll miss the help i'm providing when school opens, i'm excited to be with my friends everyday...

just finished Red sky in the morning, feel my childish and immature about myself. i always tot that if i had handicapped children, i'll opt for euthanisia....

but....well, i guess i've been reminded that even handicapped people have a reason to be in this world... and they teach us life lessons too....
