After lunch, we went to explore the beach/sea. it was high tide at 4pm. and we rented a kayak to explore the clear beautiful waters. It was really cooling, nice, clear....and green. there were blue waters further off, but the undercurrent was quite strong. we paddled and paddled, but we couldn't quite get to anywhere we wanted to reach. so we just hung out at the low waters. it was actually just 1-2m above the sandy beach( we found that out later then the tide left at night).
it wasn't until we showered ourselves with fresh water that we realised that the sea water had left us so dehydrated. after swimming in the pool and taking a drink from the pool bar, we washed up to head for dinner.
Trying to save money, we decided not to rent any bike or cab, but instead, walk to the jetty. it turned out to be a very long way, and also because it was up, up uphill for a long time. and the prices of things like water, souveirs, and food did not change. we regretted walking so far out. so by the time we reached the jetty (yes! we did it!) i was so ready to take a cab back.
Nonetheless, we had dinner by the beach side, at a chinese restaurant that the resort staff had recommended. the view and breeze was great...the price was great too.
